On 17th September 2025, Balasore Alloys Limited organized a large-scale Plantation and Sapling Distribution Program under our ongoing “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” initiative. This program reflects our strong commitment to sustainable growth, community engagement, and environmental stewardship.
As part of the drive, 6,000 saplings were planted within the plant premises, and an additional 4,000 saplings were distributed across Nuapadhi Panchayat, Remuna Block, Remuna Tahsil, NAC Remuna, and Birua Village. The saplings included a mix of native and fruit-bearing species such as Mango, Bakul, Mehagini, Jamrul, and Chatim, chosen for their ecological and community value.
The program witnessed active participation from our employees and contract partners, who played a vital role in ensuring the success of the drive. Though conducted independently without external collaborations, the initiative aligns with our long-term vision of creating a green belt around operational areas while contributing to the well-being of local communities.
This activity directly supports UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 13: Climate Action & SDG 15: Life on Land) and forms part of our broader ESG journey. By encouraging plantation and sapling distribution, we not only address biodiversity and climate resilience but also empower communities with sustainable natural resources for the future.
