On 16th September 2025, Balasore Alloys Limited (BAL) marked World Ozone Day at our Kaliapani Chromite Mines, Jajpur, Odisha, in alignment with directives from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC). This global occasion served as a vital reminder of the importance of protecting the ozone layer and advancing sustainable practices within the mining and metals industry.
The program, conducted under the theme “From Science to Global Action,” featured awareness sessions and discussions that engaged employees, staff, and workers at our mine offices and COB Plant. The sessions focused on:
