Training on Asset Management (ISO 55001) at Mines

A core team of fifteen professionals in Balasore Alloys Ltd. has been set up to conduct the implementation of Asset Management system in the captive Chrome Ore mine in Sukinda Valley in Jajpur District of Orissa and COBP within Business Excellence Initiatives in August.

Team members have undergone specific training on Asset Management. It was delivered by Mr. GVS Rao, Master of Industrial Relation and Personnel Management Trainer of M/S Bureau Veritas, a company with 190 years of existence presently known as service provider in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC). This theoretical preparation was enabled on purpose of providing essential knowledge and practical preparedness in risk assessment, strategic asset management plan compilation and other relevant practices applicable in the course of Asset Management system implementation in mines.

Asset management is a systematic process. It is aimed at enhancing the development, maintenance and operation of assets in cost effective manner. An asset management program ensures company's both tangible and intangible assets are managed in the most efficient manner by increasing their profitability with maximized lifespan.
