The consistent and professionally driven efforts put by Balasore Alloys Limited in smart and resources-friendly energy management were recognized by the Confederation of Indian Industry who bestowed to the company the “Excellence Award in Energy Conservation” in the 9th ENCON" award ceremony. The successful implementation of various energy saving measures and techniques in our plant were recognized at the event was organized by CII Eastern region. The award was presented by Chairman of Howden Solvent India Limited and past Chairman of CII Eastern region in official ceremony in Kolkata on 17th August 2018. The prestigious recognition was received on behalf of the company by Mr. Dwaijaraj Dash, HOD electrical and Mr. B. V. Ramana, Energy Manager.
Our organization was shortlisted among the top 20 for second round of the competition amid 75 industries in Eastern India. After presentation and viva round Balasore Alloys Ltd. has been rated by CII with a STAR RATING of 4.5 out of 5 Star and Achieved this Excellence Award.
Mr. Dhiren Nath, Director of Operations expressed his delight with the professional work of the entire team members involved directly and indirectly in achievement. “We should keep this trend up to achieve more new milestones in the journey towards Energy Conservation”, said he.
As highlighted by Ministry of Power, for the country to achieve developmental goals, its energy demand is expected to increase two times between 2013 and 2030 to approximately 1500 million tons of oil equivalent. Wide spread adoption of energy efficiency measures helps save resources whilst reduce the demand for fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Individual contribution towards achieving energy savings should be encouraged.

Various tips include thermostat installation, five star rating electrical appliances, adequate home insulation, smart water use, keeping electronic devices unplugged when not run and swapping out old incandescent lights for LEDs are available and should be opted for by anyone who wishes to pragmatically benefit from energy in an ecology friendly manner.
