Competition on the Front of Knowledge

Balasore alloys Ltd. organised a School level Talent Search Competition among the school students of Refugee Colony School and Nuapadhi Nodal High School in April.


Fifteen students from each school in total thirty students applied to the competition in Science, Mathematics and English. All four students who have possessed the position in this competition are girl students. Mamata Mahanta and Jhilli Singh of Refugee Colony School stood First and Second position respectively, whereas Alibha Parida and Rajashree Mahana stood Second and Third position respectively.

Prize ceremony took place on 28th April. The date was not chosen occasionally. This is a special day to people in Odisha as it is when we celebrate the birth day of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das who was the first Odia Graduate, first Odia Lawyer as well as the first Odia Barrister. He had played a pivotal part in the unification of Odisha State and the development of Oria language.    All students and teachers were joined by proud parents in the award function. Mr. Dhiren Kumar Nath, Director Operations and Mr. Shiv Dabriwala, Head Internal Auditor were their happy guests at the ceremony. They took the floor to deliver inspirational speeches.

Trophies and certificates were bestowed to all four students who had secured position. Each participant in the competition took a certificate. The event was closed with a tasty treatment.
